Access Unleashed grew from a personal journey.
Living with celiac disease means even a trace of gluten can have serious consequences. Everyday environments—restaurants, gatherings, and even well-meaning conversations—can bring uncertainty. Others may not see the disability or the risk, but both are very real. Those challenges eventually led me to pursue a gluten-detection service dog named Barley.
Along the way, I realized my story was only one of many.
Countless people live with hidden disabilities and navigate challenges that others may never see or fully understand. Many could benefit from service dogs, advocacy, education, and a supportive community, yet they may not know where to begin or may believe those resources are beyond their reach.
That personal journey grew into a larger purpose.
I founded Access Unleashed to help change that. Today, we work to empower people with hidden disabilities, educate our community, and help make life-changing resources—including service dogs—more accessible.
Because no one should have to struggle for understanding simply because others can’t see their disability.
Through empowerment, education, and fundraising, Access Unleashed provides visible support for individuals living with hidden disabilities—helping them live with greater freedom, confidence, and dignity.
